Well... it's official! Stefanie Ross is now a married woman... I am now Stefanie Medlin! YIKES!! LOL Everybody has been asking me if I feel any different now that I am married, and to be honest with you... I really don't! LOL. It's been 4 days into my marriage, and it feels just the same... except now I am trying to figure out all the particulars of being married and changing my name and so forth. We also got some money from our parents as wedding gifts, but it's still sitting in their nice little envelopes on account that we don't have joint checking accounts yet and aren't really sure how to go about that! LOL Ohhh well... we'll figure it all out I guess!
Our wedding went out with out one tiny disaster, which to be honest with you, totally and utterly shocked me! The weather forecast was calling for rain, all weekend long in Santa Barbara, and I am not kidding you, in the days leading up to our wedding, I think I looked at every single weather website in existence, trying to find a forecast that gave me hope. Every hour on the hour I scanned the weather channels expecting to find a drastic change in the weather for Saturday's ceremony. In fact, we even had a canopy on stand by, just in case it rained.(Ok.. granted that Canopy was blue with a gigantic Lucas Oil logo on the front... but still.. I am sure with the modern video and photo editing effects, we could have edited it out if we needed to!) But alas, and to our great surprise, Saturday was a BEAUTIFUL, clear and wind-less day, leaving our wedding ceremony to turn out nothing short of spectacular!
When we decided on our wedding date, about 5 weeks ago, my dad had said that he wanted to become an ordained minister so that he could marry us. I thought that was the coolest thing. So he did it. He became ordained through the Universal Life Church and got his little wedding ceremony package in the mail, and worked hard on practicing for the ceremony. He did really well too. Until the end of course when he said, "I know pronounce you husband and wife"... he got really choked up and started to cry. It really was a beautiful and special ceremony though with a lot of love in the air. Although, I have to laugh because our ceremony was on Butterfly Beach, in Santa Barbara, so it's a public beach, so random people were kind of standing off to the side watching our ceremony quietly and at one point, when Michael and I were doing the Unity Sand Ceremony, a big fluffy dog that looked like a mix between a poodle and a doberman decided he was going to make an entrance into our wedding and kind of walked in the middle of the ceremony to check stuff out. LOL.. but it was pretty funny to say the least.
So one thing that was apparent on my wedding day was the fact that I was almost 6 months pregnant... yes... just as I had thought... I totally popped a few days before the wedding. In fact, my girlfriend Lauren who saw me just the weekend earlier at my Bridal Shower, was the one who pointed it out to me. "Holy crap Stef... your belly totally popped in a weeks time... you didn't look that pregnant a week ago!" LMAO! So... unfortunately the time in which I bought, by not-looking pregnant is finally gone... at 6 months pregnant I now look pregnant. (Of course my face and arms and back make me look like a chubbo... so I don't think I've got that cute pregnant thing going on) I swear... why is it the first place I gain weight is in my face and arms and back?? I am 6 months pregnant... 24 weeks... and weight wise I've only put on 13 lbs (well 13 lbs in the morning when I weigh myself and 15 lbs at the end of the day when I weigh myself.. LOL) but I feel like I've put on so much more.... or maybe I feel like I am gaining it unevenly or something... hell.. I don't know... all I know is that I haven't put on too much weight numbers wise and I am still wearing my same jeans... but I feel like my face and arms have gotten the brunt of those 13-15lbs!! Gosh... I can only fear what I am going to look like in the next one or two months.... wow! I am not looking forward to that.. let me tell you!
So the house hunt is still going in full swing, but Michael has kind of eased the pressure of moving up to Pinion Hills, and Oak Hills and Hesperia, and kind of kept his focus a little closer to my family. Although he hasn't completely ruled that area out all together, only because you can get some beautiful custom homes and brand new homes on up to 2 to 3 acres up there, for next to nothing(particularly because there is nothing really out there) but because Michael travels so much for work, and we've got a baby coming in June, I think he's starting to realize that it might be in our best interest to stay closer to where I can get some help from my family and friends, when he's out of town, as opposed to being by myself, in the middle of nowhereville, with an infant and a shot gun. However, the houses in Yucaipa, and Reche Canyon and Grand Terrace (all places where we can find a house that isn't on top of another house and allows us the room for our 5th Wheel) still haven't really come down in price as much as we'd like, so it's been kind of a frustrating task. Although, yesterday, we did find a house in Reche Canyon, off of Scotch Lane, which is about a half a mile from my parents house, which is a bank owned home, that has really come down in price. The house is on an acre and the outside looks nice... (circular driveway and such) however, upon looking through the windows... oh lordy.... it's going to take some major elbow grease and work to get that house in a livable state! I think there is a possibility that a family of rabbits and/or rats has taken up residency somewhere in the house and it looks like the kitchen is in desperate need of some new cabinets, because they look like they have been around since the birth of Christ, not to mention the people ripped out the baseboards before they vacated the house, so the paint and drywall definitely needs some TLC. But... it definitely has potential that's for sure... it's just going to take alot of work. So Michael and I are thinking about meeting with the realtor and making a lower offer than what they are asking, since the house has been on the market since September 2nd of 08 and I think they may just want to get rid of it. See... the realtor, when I talked to her on the phone seemed VERY anxious which means one of two things... either she's struggling to feed her family and just one tiny home sale would really make her year or there is something seriously wrong with the house that we don't know about and she's trying to rid herself of the burden of having the house on the market. So who knows... we're going to have to investigate a little more and see what's going on. Hopefully there isn't dead bodies buried in the back behind the tangerine trees or is infected with a killer mold within it's walls.. so a little more investigation is needed. Although, when Michael was looking at the house, some nosy neighbor came out and informed him that the house next door to it, was getting ready to go back on the market, and it was a much nicer house. Apparently it was purchased in July of 2007 and completely remodeled and well taken care of and it just now went into foreclosure. However, it's so new to going into foreclosure that both Michael and I can't find any info on the house yet. This house is in a lot better condition than the other, but who's to say what they will be asking for it.. so we'll have to do a little bit more research on that one.
So that's the scoop for now. Michael is out of town for the next three nights on business in Northern California, so I am kinda bummed about that. It's funny... I don't look forward to him leaving town, I really miss him when he's gone! But he's flying home on the first flight Saturday morning, so I'll get to see him then. Maybe while he's gone it's give me a chance to get started on making that scrapbook I have so anxiously been talking about doing, but keep putting off... Naaahhh... I think I've got laundry to do instead... that and I've got a bunch of Rock of Love episodes on my DVR that I've yet to watch! LOL

Baby boys, rain outs, weddings, showers and everything else in between.
I am starting to notice a pattern here, I am a "once a month blogger". Oh well... it works right? Either way, one month later than my last blog and ooodles and oodles of information to share to the world! Hey... maybe when I become a stay at home mom, I'll have the time to post more often... Ha! Yeah right! Fat chance at that, I know... but either way..... here I am with lots to share.
First and most importantly, my pregnancy is going amazing! I still haven't had one spout of morning sickness, my hormones are starting to not rage AS much, so my skin is starting to clear up and actually get that "glow" that everybody boasts about, that I personally thought was a load of shit, and I haven't put on alot of extra weight(although I am sure that'll change come month 6) I am now 21 weeks pregnant and can't believe how fast the time has gone so far. We had our 18 week ultrasound a few weeks back, and found out we're having a baby boy! We're both really excited about having a son and I have visions of him throwing touchdown passes at the Super Bowl some day (NO racecar drivers if I can help it, I want my kid to have a NORMAL life!) But it's funny, Michael seems to be more concerned now that we're having a boy. He's afraid, because of his age, that he won't be able to teach our son to play football or baseball or do any of the other things dad's do with their sons. He's deathly afraid of embarrassing our son, if his friends ask him, "Hey is that your grandpa?" I definitely understand why he would feel this way and I keep telling him that he's not ancient at 42 years old and that even at 42, he definitely doesn't act 42, so I think he'll be just fine when it comes time to start teaching our boy how to be a boy. It's hard to remember sometimes, that men have just as many fears about becoming a parent as women do, so we do really well at supporting one another to overcome the normal fears of bringing our first child into the world.
At the same appointment for my Ultrasound, they gave me a blood test to check and see if there was any risk of my baby having any sort of birth defects, so that was definitely a little unnerving, because you always assume your baby is healthy. We went back two weeks later for my 20 week appointment and everything was looking great with the baby and with me. I've gained 13 pounds in 20 weeks, so I am right on track where I need to be weight wise, and my blood pressure was perfectly normal and healthy. Everything looked great with the baby's ultrasound and my due date is targeted between June 13th and June 14th. The blood work also came back negative that the baby had any risks for birth defects, so we definitely breathed a sigh of relief over that one. We finally decided on a name for our son, and we decided to name him Noah James. So now, we've got a name everything its starting to feel more real. I am finally starting to show now, but still not as much as I had hoped I'd be showing. I still think I look like I've just become a chubby ass and not a woman growing a child, but everybody else seems to disagree. Although, It's probably wise NOT to upset the hormonal pregnant woman by telling her she looks like she's a cow... MOO!
Another exciting part of being 5 months pregnant, is now I can feel him move and let me tell you... he moves ALOT. I swear that kid must have so much damn energy! He's always kicking and nudging me all day long. I love it though! It's so amazing to feel my son move, I can't even describe it. It's so funny, at night, Michael and I have become accustomed to when we lay down to go to bed at night, Michael lays his head on my belly and starts talking to the baby and feeling the little movements. Well since the baby is getting bigger, so are his movements and the other night, he lets outs this huge kick and nails Michael right in the face! We were laughing so hard! It's so funny how much enjoyment two people can get from laying in bed a feeling their kid kick, these are the exciting things we do these days... LOL.
Another exciting piece of news, I have to share is Michael and I decided to get married on Valentines Day... And we decided this about... ohhh.. a month ago. LOL. Actually we planned a very small intimate ceremony to take place at Sunset on Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara with about 25 of our closest family and friends. We plan on having a HUGE reception in August, after the baby is born, to celebrate with everybody we know, but until then, we opted for something small and easy. Actually the entire thing has been very simple and alot of fun to plan. I've pretty much planned everything down to the tee, and doing so on a strict budget, and it's still going to come out looking beautiful. I've really had alot of fun planning everything and I am really getting excited for the finished product. The only issues I've run into with my wedding is other people. No, not family, not wedding planners, not photographers.... but friends who haven't exactly been there like I had thought they would be, or friends who aren't supporting our decision to get married with such a small ceremony and taking their absence personal and putting guilt upon me.... It's really been an eye-opening experience I can tell you that much. In fact, I had a few people offer to throw me a bridal shower, when the news of our Valentines Day wedding became official. Everybody talked about it, but nobody made it happen, in fact, up until last Sunday, I had just assumed I wouldn't be having a bridal shower, only because nobody had mentioned anything to me about planning one, so I just figured it wasn't going to happen. It wasn't until my mom and brother stepped up to the plate (Yes.. my 19 year old BROTHER) that they started to put the last minute plans into motion, so that I could have a bridal shower, the weekend before my wedding. So it kinda sucks to see that the people you thought you could depend on the most, totally flake out on you. But that's the reality of it all, some things are alot more important I guess, either way it opens my eyes alot as to who I can really count on for support as I begin this new journey in my life. I mean this isn't high school or college anymore! I am getting ready to walk down the isle and become a wife and shortly after I'll be giving birth and becoming a mom! That changes EVERYTHING! This is the big leagues now! I've got alot to worry about and that doesn't include which bar I am going to hit up for drinks this night or that night. I've got to grow up, ready or not, as I am now responsible for another human life, and that is just another journey I'll be taking in my life.
So another big event that took place... or strike that... was SUPPOSED to take place, on January 23rd, was the Toyota All Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway. *For my non-racer friends.... long story short.. it's supposed to be the Daytona 500 of short track racing and if you don't know what the Daytona 500 is... I sure as hell can't help you there* Anyways, 100's of cars from across the country showed up to race with the best of the best, live on the Speed Channel, and we were blessed with rain! It was, by far, the longest most miserable weekend of my LIFE! It was supposed to be a good time and it was anything but. Michael and I decided, since we were supposed to be there all day Thursday and all day Friday that we'd just bring our 5th wheel and camp in the parking lot. My parents even decided to rent a motorhome so they could do that too, because being at the racetrack for 2 full days takes ALOT out of you, that even that one hour drive home is way too long. There were also a few other friends of ours who decided to campout too. So we're thinking a great weekend of racing, camping with our friends.. what can be better?!? Ummm apparently repeatedly stabbing yourself in the eye with sharp objects would have been a trip to effin Disneyland compared to what we went through.
It's not raining on Thursday night, so that works out ok, everybody is able to get parked and get a few laps of practice down and back to the campers without any moisture. However, Friday morning rolls around(mind you the day we're supposed to qualify and race) and the skys open up and it rains.... and it rains and it rains and it RAINS... ALL friggin day long. Everybody is wet, cold and exhausted and nobody at Nascar is calling a spade a spade and just calling the races off.. because live TV is involved (and there is another set of live TV races scheduled for Saturday) they were going to do everything it took to get our races on. So we sit around all day, up until about 7pm Friday night, when they finally say, "we're not racing tonight.. but don't go anywhere yet because the rain is supposed to subside in a few hours and we *MIGHT* practice and qualify tonight for tomorrows race. Meanwhile, my mom, who got tired of sitting around in the rain, decided to head back to the motorhome to stay warm. I get a call from her on my cell phone telling me that a man and a woman had walked into Michael and I's trailer... I instantly panicked! I went to Michael to tell him this and come to find out, one of his crew members(who is very immature and disrespectful) had decided to take some skanky ass girl back to another crew members motor home, parked by us, to do obviously more than share a soda and a hot dog and chat about lilies and daisies and the meaning of life. Apparently, (which I still stand by my story that I think this is bullshit... but whatever) they decided to check out our trailer and put her purse in there. I was livid... BEYOND livid! Talk about an invasion of privacy... and I don't want to be a hormonal judgmental bitch or anything, but I knew the skanky woman he brought back to our trailer and she is the appitemy of a dirty filthy whore. I truly believe that just her presence alone could cause you to break out in a case of gonorrhea or herpes. Needless to say, furious was not the word to describe how I felt about this situation. SO of course, Michael and I got into a fight over it, because I was "blowing the situation out of proportion" and said the only thing his friend was guilty of was not telling us he was going to walk into our trailer and that how dare I scold his friend. So what... Maybe I was blowing the whole thing out of proportion. Maybe if I hadn't been exhausted and sitting in the rain for 14 hours I might have been a little more receptive to the situation... or maybe had I not had such a profound dislike for the piece of trash that accompanied him into our trailer, I might not have blown such a gasket.... oh well... who's to say what would have happened, all that I know was that I was heated to the max over it all (in fact... I find as I am writing this my toes are starting to curl... which is an indication I get when I am really pissed off... so apparently the situation is STILL under my skin!!!) UGH! Blame it on my hormones or something.. yeah that's it. :-)
So along with the trailer fiasco Friday night, lack of sleep, more rain on Saturday and the fact that Nascar put our race LAST and only gave us 30 minutes for 53 cars to run 150 laps (which didn't work out too well, we only got 12 laps in) they called the race and said it was time to go home, and in fact, they were going to honor the finishing order of the 12 lap race (4 of those laps were the only green flag laps we had, the rest were under caution!) And considering it was a $10,000 purse, nobody thought it was fair that the declared winner, get to walk away with 10 grand for a measly 12 laps. So everybody at this point was pissed, filing protests, screaming at Nascar, threatening to sue.. it was a nightmare! On top of that, I, personally, had allowed myself to do entirely too much physical exertion over those long days at the racetrack, on limited sleep and limited food intake, so I was done. Every part of my body ached and I was ready to cry at the first person who looked at me wrong! When would this nightmare be over!!! So, unfortunately what was supposed to be an awesome weekend of racing turned into hell!! (Another reason why I am going to try to talk my kid out of racing and make him play football!!! LOL Although considering racing runs way too deep in his blood, between Michael and I, I have a feeling I might lose that battle!)
Well I suppose I've covered just about everything up till this point. Next time I write(because we all know I am a once a month-er) I'll be a married woman, so I am sure I'll have some interesting scoops to share about the wedding and all that jazz. Hopefully that'll go through with little no no hiccups! But of course... it wouldn't be me if there wasn't some sort of disaster happening... that's what makes my life so interesting right? LOL

About a month or so behind as usual
Well as usual I have plenty to blog about but just not enough time to sit down and write anything out. So here I am playing catch up with all that has happened in the past month. I know I know.... I am horrible at this... but at least I am not as bad as Kim(lol sorry I couldn't resist!) In the past month I have entered my 2nd trimester of pregnancy, took a nice little get away to Las Vegas, got ready for Christmas and had Christmas, equipped with a Christmas marriage proposal and a trip to the horse races! So it's been an eventful month! So take a load off for a while and catch up on what I've been failing to share with all of you over the past month.
So I finally entered my 2nd trimester of pregnancy, not that the 1st trimester was even that bad for me. I guess I should really count my blessings because I have a lot of girlfriends who are a few weeks behind me in their pregnancies and they have been really sick during their first trimester and I haven't had one issue at all. With the exception with a little heartburn, which I've now developed in the late evenings in my 2nd trimester, I've been sickness and ickness free thus far in my pregnancy. (knock on wood, I still got a long way to go... by the way.. I am 17 weeks pregnant now) In fact, I was starting to get a little worried that maybe something was wrong with the baby because I wasn't feeling all the crap that all the books say your *supposed* to feel while your pregnant, but I had my 15 week check up and the babies heartbeat was nice and strong (155 BPM to be exact) and the Doctor said everything looked great with the baby and with me. I've only gained 7lbs so far, which the Doctor said was good, because you should gain 1/2lb to 1lb every week, so at 7lbs, I am just fine. I swear to you though, the 7lbs I've gained, 5 of those blessed pounds have got to be in my face! I am not kidding you! I have been naturally cursed with a round face and chipmunk cheeks to begin with, so you add a few extra lbs to that already round face and I look like my father. I am not even joking! I look like my father only with longer hair and less eyebrows, I can only fear what I will look like at nine months pregnant.
I've started to get that little pregnant lump, but to me, it doesn't look like a pregnancy lump, it looks like a "I've cancelled my gym membership and started guzzling beers and porking out on greasy cheeseburgers and Hostess Cupcakes" gut! I am not at the "cute" pregnant stage... I am at that stage where if anybody who didn't know I was pregnant saw me they said, "Oh wow.. she's gotten a little chubby hasn't she." Although, I am not sure I will ever get to that "cute" pregnant stage. I see all these cute little glowing pregnant women and I highly doubt that will be me. With my skin acting up and the 49 year old man bloated face I envision myself looking something like the Stay Puff Marshmallow man in the final months of my pregnancy. Although Michael seems to think otherwise, I think he's just being sweet(like any SMART man would be when his woman is pregnant) but he says I look beautiful and he can't even tell I am pregnant and that he can barely see my belly. He even went as far as to ask the Doctor if I was gaining enough weight, because he thought I was underweight..... Remind me to give that man a big kiss when I get home.
Although I have found one enjoyment with my overactive hormones during pregnancy..... Yes.... the sex drive. Now, I've been told there are two types of pregnant women... One's who enjoy sex while pregnant and the others who don't enjoy sex while their pregnant. I happen to fall under the first category. (although my sex drive really has never been a problem to be honest with you) But I think I am a little on the freakish side... meaning I feel like a 13 year old boy who's just discovered his first woody. I am not even kidding. Poor Michael must think I need to be going to some sort of therapy for sexual addiction issues or something. It's pretty bed when we crawl into bed at night and Michael goes to curl up with me and I start attacking him and he goes, "Baby, can't we just hold each other tonight?!?" Hold each other??? No dammit! I've got some raging hormones and you should be lucky that I'd rather rape you than scream at you... take it while you can get it man!!! LOL
So far my first 4 months of pregnancy have been a breeze, so I am not really complaining. We are scheduled for our 18 week Ultrasound on the 12th of January(10 days from now) to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. Everybody keeps asking us if we've thought of names yet, but to be honest with you, it's hard to think of names if you don't know what your having yet. I think once we know what we're having then it kind of gives the baby a better identity to name him or her with. So we'll get on the baby names just as soon has we know if our kid has a hot dog or a cheeseburger! LOL
So a few months back, before Michael and I knew we were pregnant, we had planned to go to Las Vegas the first weekend in December. My grandparents and Aunts and Uncles go every year at that time, because the Rodeo is in town and granted they don't actually go to the Rodeo, they do shopping at something called "Cowboy Christmas". Now I've never been before, and I actually didn't really think it'd be my cup of tea, but I had some time off left to use before the year was over and spending a few days with the part of my family I don't see that often in Vegas would still be fun(Keep in mind this was back when I wasn't pregnant, so I thought I'd be hammered for 4 days straight...LOL) So it was going to be nice to get away for a few days and let me tell you we had a blast(even if I couldn't drink.) First of all, "Cowboy Christmas" doesn't mean that everything in these convention centers is Cowboy affiliated and I found that out as soon as I walked into the Hilton convention center and was blinded by all the bling... I was in heaven. Every cute purse, jacket, jewelry you name it covered in bling called my name as we walked down these isles. I am not joking, if I had the money, I easily could have dropped about 20 grand in the first 1 hour we were there(and that wouldn't have bought me much either because this stuff was definitely NOT cheap!) LOL... We found out we weren't exactly at a "swap meat" in Fontucky when a booth filled with fur jackets called my name, or maybe it was the sales girls who called my name after they saw that gleam in my eyes and the death grip on Michael's arm as I all but drug him to their booth. So of course I had to try a few of them on. Good lord they were beautiful and so smooth and soft.. if I had one of these I would do nothing but wear it on my naked body and walk around the house all day... just naked and in my real fur jacket. Now all you P.I.T.A people can kiss my ass if you start lecturing me on how wrong fur is. You just put one of those luxurious jackets on and imagine your naked body cloaked in it.... the illicit fantasies that followed shall be left unspoken on blogger.com.... but you get the idea! Anyways, I could see Michael's gears in his head turning and he's thinking the same thing I'm thinking.... this stuff is being sold at a Convention Center in Vegas, these have got to be some sweet deals for sure... this jacket couldn't be more than $300.00 bucks. So he smiles at me with this... "I am totally going to cave and buy this for you because I love you that damn much and your carrying my child so that makes you deserving of that much more special of things" look and asks the sales girl.. "So how much?" And just like she was selling discount granny panties at the local TJ Maxx, she says "oh it's just $4,000"..... $4,000 bucks!!!! Yeah right!!! So Michael all but ripped that luxurious piece of heaven off my back and kindly told the lady that $4,000 would buy a lot for our upcoming baby and he hustled me out of there faster than a whore walking through church. So much for my real fur coat. But we did find a faux fur jacket that was equally as cute and much much cheaper that Michael did buy for me as an early Christmas gift, so I was a happy camper. Although I am deathly afraid to wear it on account that it's white suede with fur on the sides and I am so scared I might spill something on it... LOL... So I am careful when and where I wear it.
With all of the running around Michael and I had done the first couple weeks of December and the fact Michael had a business trip to Denver as well, we were kinda late on our Christmas decorating and shopping because we flat out didn't have the time. So the day I dropped Michael off at the airport for his Denver trip(the weekend before the weekend of Christmas) and pretty much kicked out all of the Christmas shopping I needed to do. To be honest it was really hard for me to get into the Christmas spirit this year. The economy hasn't been too kind to the plumbing industry and business has been really slow, so it really makes it hard to get all jazzed about a holiday that costs so damn much. I really envy those in other industries that haven't felt the effect of this dwindling economy like we have. To be honest, I am a little fearful for our family business, especially out here in the desert. I pray every night that business picks up and that all those damn general contractors start paying us the money they owe us. I especially worry for my dad, I can see the stress on his plate and it's not healthy, he's got a lot riding on the success of this second business out in Palm Springs and if it fails, he and my mom could possibly lose everything. It's a very sobering thought and it's very scary, I am really hoping this new year turns things around financially. So anyways, that stress of business made it very difficult to be jolly this holiday season. But Michael, after getting home from his trip to Denver, made an attempt to lift my holiday spirits by surprising me by putting up all the outside Christmas lights and taking me to go get our Christmas tree. So that helped a little bit.
We had a nice Christmas, which was spent running around too too much, like we did last year. We had Christmas early with Michael's mom and his niece Mandy on the 21st, since both his mom and Mandy would be out of town on Christmas. We then spent Christmas Eve with Michael's friends David and Janeen and their son Jacob in Hollywood and Christmas day we spent with my parents and both sets of grandparents and my Aunt and Uncle. Michael, of course, went overboard as usual on the gifts for me and bought me a really nice video camera and the bad ass Kitchen Aide professional mixer I had been wanting for sometime now. At the end of the afternoon at my grandma's house, when all the gifts were opened, I got handed a professionally wrapped box from Michael. I thought this was strange since we had already exchanged our gifts at my parents house that morning. So I opened the box and there was a letter on top of another wrapped box. The letter told me to open the next box to find a treasure, so I opened the next box.... another letter and another wrapped box. This went on for a bit until I got down to this tiny battery box, which inside I assumed was my Christmas gift(mind you every member of my entire family is watching in anticipation as to what was in this box) so I open the battery box, and it's just another letter. But this time the letter says, "This is the last box, it's sad but true, but take a seat so I can propose to you" and at that point Michael got down on one knee and pulled out my engagement ring. It was really sweet. He was a little emotional during his proposal and every member of my family was in tears, but it was definitely a wonderful Christmas surprise. I was so happy my family could be there to witness it. It will definitely go down in history as one of the best Christmas' I ever had. The next day even, I had to work all day, so when I came home Michael had made me a candlelit dinner equipped with roses and a thank you card thanking me for saying "yes"... LOL as if I was going to say no to him.. LOL... He's such a sweet guy! I am so lucky.
The Saturday after Christmas since my Aunt Robin and her husband Casey were in town, and it was opening weekend at the horse races at Santa Anita, my parents, Michael and I and David and Alex decided to join them for the horse races and boy did we have a blast! My Aunt spent the majority of her life, (with her husband prior to Casey) in the race horse industry. Her ex husband was a very very VERY wealthy man in New Mexico, who owned a dairy and many race horses, so this was her element. So because we were on her turf we got to meet some race horse owners and trainers, and we got a table up at the Frontrunner restaurant and we even got to meet some jockeys! We didn't win very much money though. Michael and I WOULD have one the pick 4... which was if you picked the winners of the last 4 races you won $300,000.... if that stupid horse in the 7th race, Oil Man, didn't freakin blow it! Damn Irish horse! I am never betting on an Irish horse again, I think he had a little too much to drink before his race. Alex and I even got our picture taken with Alex Solis, who is apparently the Jeff Gordon of horse racing... hell all I know is my Aunt Robin walked into the jockey room and all but ripped this poor 5 foot tall jockey out of the locker room so he could take a picture with me and Alex.. she pretended like she knew him, but she really didn't, but he was polite anyways and allowed us the picture. The only down side of the day was one of the horses in the 7th race went down and went down hard. He was leading the race and something caught his eye coming out of the turn and he tried to jump over the railing and went down. The jockey was pretty hurt and so was the horse. They made it look like the horse was ok, because they walked him in to the trailer for the fans sake, but one of my Aunt's trainer friends told us they had to put the horse down once they got him back to the stables. I hate that part of horse racing, it's really sad, but like my Aunt said, who was in the business for many years, it's the unfortunate part of the game, and she had lost many horses and the sting never went away. In fact, she beat the shit out of one of her jockeys on the racetrack, after the jockey caused the horse to go down and got a $10,000 fine and watched the horse she oversaw training on since it was a baby, die on that track, I guess it's just apart of the business. Other than that little moment, we all had a great time at Santa Anita and went on to a loud drunken dinner(while I drank lemonade and laughed at everyone) at Outback.. it was a great day!
So it's now the New Year and Michael and I brought it in kinda mellow on account he wasn't feeling well, but it was nice to kick back at home and play some Wii. This weekend we're off to Prescott to visit his nephews, which I am really looking forward to, because I love Prescott! So that's about all on my monthly update, I am going to try to not wait so long before I post again.. LOL... but we'll see how well that'll work out!

From Green Beans and Tears to Dirt and Shitters
So it's now Wednesday and I am still recovering from my Thanksgiving weekend! Of course this nasty ass cold I have come down with certainly isn't helping matters. UGH! There's nothing worse than being sick! Anyways, as usual Michael and I had our fair share of running around and totally not relaxing this past holiday weekend. Of course it wouldn't be Michael and I if we weren't committed to doing a million different things all at once, I am not sure how well that's going to fly once baby Squishy Sprout comes in 6 months. (Ohhh and Squishy Sprout is the babies nickname thanks to Brittany and Kim.. LOL.. at least until we start coming up with names)
Since Michael and I got the 5th wheel trailer back in September we hadn't had an opportunity to use it yet. His friends go every year up to Dove Springs, which is off 14 in the desert past Mojave, for Thanksgiving weekend with their bikes and trailers to go camping and riding. Now, to be honest with you, I am usually very gung-ho about doing stuff like this, but considering we're constantly on the go and I am also 3 months pregnant, the idea of staying at home, this holiday weekend, and just relaxing and getting the house all ready for Christmas sounded pretty enticing to me. In fact, Michael and I had a bit of a "tiff" as you would call it, about it. But, I felt bad because he does a lot for me and he really loves to go riding and he hasn't been in 2 years and once the baby comes we probably won't be able to do this kinda stuff for a while, so I apologized for being overemotional and insensitive and was on board with the trip. (Hey... I can admit when I am wrong or being a little overboard)
Anyways, so we spent the majority of the weekend before and the days before getting everything ready to go camping from Thursday night till Sunday morning. We were going to have Thanksgiving dinner with my family and then head to Duarte to have dessert with Michael's nieces and then head out to the desert. Thanksgiving morning comes along and I am a little on the emotional side for some reason or another. I was going to be bringing a Green Bean Casserole to Thanksgiving and decided that the traditional Green Bean Casserole wasn't good enough and that I needed to re-invite the Green Bean Casserole with a recipe I saw on the Food Network(of course!) It was a bit complex because I had to make the roux as well as make my own french fried onion toppings, but in the days before Thanksgiving, I was confident enough I could make it work like the Champion Head Chef in Training I was... well... maybe in my own mind.
So I get started on my amazingly different Green Bean Casserole about an hour later than I had originally planned and some how guilted Michael into helping me with it. Making the roux was really tough, because you have to mix the flour and milk really fast and make sure it thickens... well.... it took me 3 times before I could make it to the right consistency.... but.... No tears.... I was frustrated as all hell, especially since it was 12pm and I was still in my PJ's and we had to be at my Aunts house around 1pm. So I finally get everything all together and get my Casserole in the oven and start working on my french fried onions.... that's when I lost it. Those stupid little things were not frying up for the life of me and I couldn't figure out why. They were just turning this awful looking dark dark brown color, without getting fried at all. That's when the water works hit. Here it was, a quarter to 1pm, I am standing in my kitchen in my blue PJ pants and white wife beater, hair all over the place, a spatula in one hand, dirty pots and pans all over the place, flour spread from one inch of my kitchen to the other with tidbits of mushrooms and green beans and red peppers in the mix and crying like a friggin baby that my Green Bean Casserole was going to, in fact, "SUCK". At that point Michael took the spatula out of my hand, told me to go upstairs and start getting ready and he'd finish the rest. So after a good bawl in the shower, I came downstairs to find that he had salvaged what was left of my french fried onion topping and finished the Casserole as well as washed all the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. What a hero. I should buy that man a cape if it wouldn't stroke his ego too much. So off we went to Thanksgiving dinner... only about an hour late... LOL.
After our dinner with my family(oh and by the way, my Green Bean Casserole was a big hit, I was even asked to bring it to Christmas dinner... I think I saw Michael take a shot of Jack Daniels after that though...LOL) and a really nice visit with Michael's nieces, we were finally on our way to the desert at about 11:00pm at night, putting us in Dove Springs at about 1:30 AM. It was so beautiful when we got there though. I have never seen so many stars in my life and it's not like I've lived in the City my whole life either, it was just so amazing!! Cold... but beautiful!!
Now I am not the type of woman that just likes to sit around, I have to be in the middle of things, so even though we were in the desert, I somehow managed to finagle my way into doing things that some doctors would probably shake there heads at, seeing a 3 month pregnant woman doing. It was nothing bad!! I just took the kids in Michael's truck, off-roading to this little bar/store/deli where a live band plays... and I took Michael's quad on a very smooth ride to check out the scenery.... AND I sweet-talked my way into being passenger in a Polaris Ranger for a ride up the mountains to an old cabin.... AND Michael took me off-roading to this cool old mining tunnel. Let me tell you though... that mining tunnel was a little creepy but I toughed it out! We get there, right at sunset, and mind you, we're out in the middle of nowhere. So we get out of the truck and Michael instantly grabs his 9mm hand gun and puts it in the back of his pants to protect us from any wild animals or crazy derelicts that might be habituating in the tunnel. I don't know about you..... but there is NOTHING sexier than a serious man with a gun... LOL... I am not kidding you. it took everything I had not to throw my man on the ground and have my way with him out in the middle of the wilderness when he got that serious look on his face, loaded his gun, shoved it sexily in the back of his pants, and grabbed my arm protectively as he led me to this dark tunnel. I felt like one of those women in those cheesy dime store novels, being protected by some sexy serious stranger, with a dark haunted past, and having him lead me into some unknown tunnel for protection while we're being chased by a crazy man who's stalking me and then... you know how the books always turn out... "Broc shoved me hard against the tunnel wall and kissed me roughly... and I could feel his member stiff against my trembling thighs....." LMAO.... Ok.. maybe I am getting a little too carried away here.... Anyways... I am not going lie... my little dirty imagination was running wild as we headed in to that tunnel.... but that was short lived once we got in there. Good God this thing was creepy, all I could think about was the wild animals that could be lurking around every corner of this 1 mile long mine in the middle of this mountain... the view, once we got to other side was totally worth it, except my big tough protector said we should probably head back through the tunnel before it got much darker... So I took my two pictures and clasped on the back of "Broc's" rippled muscular back clinging my barely there nightie to my cold body as we trudged back through the tunnel to make mad passionate love on the old mining rails....... LMAO... (Totally joking by the way)
The morning we left to go home, I woke up so sick. Michael and I thought that maybe I had overdone it this weekend and this was the baby getting it's revenge on me, because I woke up throwing up and feeling all kinds of ick. We finally headed on our journey home and boy oh boy was THAT an adventure in itself. Those of you who've been camping in a trailer know that after your done, you need to empty the dirty water and the shitter out of the trailer. Well... at one point in the weekend this overly obnoxious friend of a friend thought it would be nice to just pollute our bathroom and fill up our toilet.... let me tell you it was foul. What was even more foul was the fact that would could not get the toilet to empty at the dump station. Michael poured some chemicals down it and bought a plunger and hoped it would work its way down and then we could pull into another dump station and empty it and alls well. Right?? WRONG!!! We couldn't find a dump station for the life of us, after having to pull over several times so I could throw up, we found ourselves traveling down the 10 freeway in search of a dump station to clear out our clogged toilet. We got all the way to Coachella, which mind you is about an hour and a half PAST our house in Loma Linda, before we finally found a dump station.... and Guess what? As luck would have it.. in the famous words of Randy Quaid in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation... "The shitters full!" Yes.. the shitter was STILL full and would not empty in the dump station. Now at this point it was now 7pm and we were sitting in Thanksgiving weekend traffic on the 10 freeway as I am throwing up in an empty Carls Jr. bag. Needless to say.... our scheduled 3 hour journey home turned into a nice little 12 hour jaunt across Southern California's deserts. I sure love camping, it's a lot of fun, but goodness, I forgot how much freakin work it is! Michael and I leave for Vegas on Sunday and I am looking forward to staying in a hotel where the shitters flush, thank you very much! Excuse me while I go pay hommage to my indoor plumbing.
Ooooohhhh BABY!!!!! (And not in a sexual way.. well... sorta..)
Well I am definitely a little behind in updating my Blog... (Sorry Hannah! LOL) It's been a busy busy month, but here I am and I am ready to update the blogger world on the exciting developments(literally) happening in my life over the past month. So sit back, relax, have a cup of coffee and maybe a donut if your diet permits and catch up on my news.
YES, in fact the rumors are true.... I am pregnant! 11 weeks pregnant to be exact and I am feeling great, meaning I haven't been praying to the porcelain God one bit, which I am pretty stoked about because me and vomit don't exactly go together like peanut butter and ladies if you know what I mean. Actually I think I need to invest in one of those new age robotic babies, kinda like the one's in License to Wed, that shits and pukes and teaches you how to be a parent, before I give birth to prepare my weak stomach for the joys that motherhood will bring me. (Ohh and P.S. Hannah... reading your blogs has given me a total insight on what to expect in the whole vomit and poo department) I am thinking I might need a little help before my bundle of joy graces me with it's first dirty diaper or spits up on me!! I know I know, they say once you become a mother that stuff doesn't bother you anymore, but still I don't want to be holding my baby in the hospital and have it spit up on me and I start gagging and have the Doctors and Nurses start whispering about me by the water cooler.. "Oh my God... did you see that new mom is 5B... Yeah... she totally gagged when her baby spit up... Seriously... she's got a rough road ahead of her.. just wait till she catches a glimpse of her first diaper after the baby switches to jarred veggies... she's a goner for sure"... Well.... I am sure it wouldn't exactly go like that but still.... Anyways, the baby is due on June 14th, 2009. We're definitely going to find out the sex of the baby, and that appointment is on January 12th, so after January 12th please feel free to start buying lots of cute baby things for me that are gender appropriate. LOL.
The only real pregnancy side effect that I am feeling at this time is I am tried... Like CRAZY tired...it feels like I could sleep for days upon days and be a happy little camper. Come 8pm at night I am struggling to keep my eyes open and since Michael tends to be somewhat of a night owl and has a hard time going to bed before 10pm, I am struggling to stay awake and coherent and capable of maintaining an understandable conversation with my better half. I usually end up losing the battle and fall asleep on his lap on the couch way before then or he talks me into going to bed to watch TV and I make a quarter of the TV show and I am out like a light. Thank goodness Michael records the shows for me to watch later when I am not in a comatose state. Other than becoming a living zombie, I am handling the first 3 months of pregnancy like a champ.
I bought the book, "What to expect when your expecting" and to tell you the truth, I've set it down already because it frankly scares the living shit out of me!! Basically, in a nut shell, all that book as told me so far is that I am not going to shit for weeks on end, I am going to cry at the drop of a hat, I am going to get crazy fat along with stretch marks to boot, if I eat anything that isn't in the specified pregnancy diet that I am a horrible mother for poisoning my fetus, and that there is a possibility that my nose may get gigantic. And even with all the books negativity it somehow attempts to place a positive spin on everything. "Don't worry that one day you'll be sitting down to take a pee and you notice that your pretty little hoo-hoo is the size of a Macys Thanksgiving Day float, that's just blood flowing to your vaginal region preparing you for labor" My hoo-hoo is going to blow up like a balloon??? I can tell you what the day that happens I am not really sure what the hell I am going to do but I sure as hell am not going to look at it positively that's for damn sure! Ok.. so MAYBE I am being a little dramatic here, but that's really all I've gathered from my readings. So I set the book on my nightstand and I am waiting for the evening I get brave again and pick it up to read about the other horrors I am going to be facing during this "joyous" time in my life.
I am starting to get a little emotional, which I am sure Michael is just going to love. Michael isn't one of those men who takes a look at a crying woman and stops everything until everything is ok... trust me... I've tried to cry to get my way with him and it hasn't worked once! My crying is powerless against his strong forces, this could also be because he's 42 years old and is the only man in an office of about 30 or so women so he's seen quite a bit of crying in his days and doesn't budge one inch for a few tears. Anyways, I started to notice this random emotionalism last week. I wasn't feeling well, so I stayed home from work and decided to rent Sex and The City on Pay-Per-View since I hadn't seen it. At the part at the end where Big re-proposes to Carrie in the closet, I found myself choking up. Now, I wasn't a die hard Sex and the City fiend or anything who never missed one episode and had been secretly praying for Carrie Bradshaw and Big to live happily ever after and this was my emotional release that they could finally get their happy ending... No... I had seen episodes here and there over the years that I found pleasantly entertaining, but I wasn't a fanatic or anything, I didn't live and breath the show and it's characters. So why was I choking up at two fictitious beings standing in an amazing closet in New York City pledging their eternal commitment to one another??? Noooooo.... it couldn't be because I am growing a human being inside of me!! That ridiculous! So I brushed it off as not feeling well and being overtired and left it at that. So a few days later Michael and I are watching one of our favorite shows, Still Standing. It's this great sitcom that was cancelled a few years back but it's getting its second chance at its glory days by having it's reruns played daily on Lifetime, it's really funny and Michael and I quite enjoy it, you should watch it sometime if you have the chance. Anyways, in this particular episode the oldest son Brian is going to be going off the college, so the parents aren't upset at all about him leaving, so they decide they are going to change his bedroom into a Master Suite for themselves. So at the end of the show when Brian leaves for college and they start moving stuff in his bedroom so they can make their Master Suite, they move a dresser and behind the dresser is a little drawing Brian had made when he was a kid and it was of a little stick figure family looking all happy at their house and then it finally hit his parents that he was all grown up and moving away from home. Oh My God.. you would have thought somebody told me that they ran over my cat... I started bawling.... and I don't know why. It's not like I am a parent who has a teen kid who's close to moving away or anything.... hell... I am still growing my kid as we speak so I shouldn't be crying over something like this.... well... I was. I was crying over a cheesy Lifetime sitcom like a friggin baby. Needless to say, I then realized that I am definitely experiencing the unnecessary over emotionalism that comes with pregnancy at this point.
I've also come to realize that after almost 26 years of life, I am incapable of peeing in a cup. During the past month of so, I've had to pee in a cup a few times during Doctors appointments and not one of these times have I been able to accomplish this without peeing on my hand or all over the toilet seat or worse, not putting the lid on the cup tight enough and having it spill in the bio-hazard bag. Seriously, you should have seen the look on the nurses face when I handed her my bag filled of urine. I am sure she was probably cursing me all the way to the lab.. or better yet, the lab technician who got stuck with my bag of pee was probably cursing me even more. Hmmm I'd say maybe I should practice in between appointments but that's just downright strange... I am hoping in the next 6 months I'll manage to make it in the cup with little to no difficulties... but we'll see... I wouldn't place any bets on it.

Pumpkin Penne Pasta with a side of cat nip on a bed of fabric softener.
So it's been a little over a month since I last wrote on here. I haven't been procrastinating, I just really haven't had anything going on to write about, so I thought I'd give you all a little update as to the happenings in my life.
Michael and I have been living together for a month and actually things are going very smoothly. We've divided our chores equally between one another and it's really working out. Of course you've read in my previous posts about my profound hatred for laundry, so obviously Michael has taken on that task. I tell you what, my laundry has never smelled fresher and never been so bright, I don't know what that man does to my spin cycle... but Wow... I am impressed. He tries to explain to me his try-ed and true method of professional laundry, but it goes in one ear and out the other with me. I just take my nice wrinkle free and fresh clean clothes, hung so neatly in my closet out and take a whiff and say, "That's nice dear" ... Wow... I sounded like a man just there didn't I?? Either way, next time you see me, you'll be amazed at how bright my clothes are looking these days, all because of my fella. Ohh and please try not to give him too much hack over being a laundry efficienato, it might damage his manly reputation. Ohhh hell.. what man in America's "manly reputation" ISN'T at stake when his wife or girlfriend fires up the Blogger.Com or Myspace and starts sharing their humorous, yet private moments for all her girlfriends to see or posts pictures of their man in an apron whipping up some brownies??? I think men are used to this by now.
Aside from Michael's laundry duties he has now become the new parent to P-Kitty. Yes, my fat cat has taken quite a liking to Michael and it seems the feeling is mutual. I walk in the front door, that cat doesn't give me the time of day anymore! Mind you I saved her from the streets of Riverside 6 years ago, and gave her a home, and fed her and cleaned her cat box, despite my gag reflex when it comes to animal feces... or ANY feces for that matter, cleaned up her hairballs... Yes... I have given that cat quite a good life. If you have any doubts all you have to do is take a look at her gut, which is now starting to drag the ground as she walks. Apparently she doesn't like to exercise after her 25 meals a day... go figure! I decided a few months back, that she needed to go on a diet and she's hated me ever since. I fear I will wake up in the middle of the night with my cat standing over me with a cat nip mouse in one paw and a kitchen knife in the other paw to rid the world of my hateful cat dieting techniques. You think I am joking.. I am not.
Anyways, Michael has now become her new best friend. Despite the fact that on Fridays when I am at work and Michael has the day off that they lounge in bed and watch the news and the Nascar qualifying, or that now Michael is trying to teach her tricks with a red ribbon he found underneath my bathroom sink and a vehicle antenna that he make-shifted into some toy, that my cat finds thrilling. Nevermind the fact that she has an ENTIRE spare bedroom filled with cat nip mice and little furry things attached to strings... NOOO.. that's not good enough.. she likes Michael's toys better. Aside from there sleeping in and "America's Greatest Cat" training, they now share lunch together... Yes.. the fat cat that's belly drags the ground that is SUPPOSED to be on a diet, is being fed tuna when I am not around. Michael walks into the kitchen to whip himself up a tuna sandwich, and then takes the can and leaves a few pieces in it for P-Kitty and places it on the ground in the kitchen for her to eat. Ohhhh yeah.... she's not spoiled at all right?? Now, because of their little lunch sharing game, that cat has become a monster. Everytime I am in the kitchen she starts meowing at me, like I am going to reach into the cabinet and grab her a can of tuna. She also has a ear for the opening of a can. Now, I don't have an electric can opener or anything, I have an old fashion open a can by hand doohickey that takes 45 years to open a can of soup. I could be in the kitchen with the TV blasted, stereo on, water running and the cat could be upstairs asleep and as soon as she hears me opening a can, man that fat ass cat is down the stairs in 1.4 seconds flat meowing at my feet hoping I am going to give her some tuna. So of course, I don't because she's supposed to be on a diet and then I look like the bad guy. So I am sure, since today is Friday, that as we speak Michael is standing in our kitchen, watching my cat enjoy a can of tuna while telling her, "let's not tell your mom about this". Michael also decided that she needed a little cat playhouse, so he bought her the Mercedes model of all cat playhouse at Petsmart... Unbelievable!! Yeah.. buddy... you may be on that cat's good graces NOW... but just wait till Christmas time rolls around this year and YOU have to be the one to throw out her Christmas tree.. yeah the gloves will with off then and it doesn't matter how many cans of tuna you bribe that cat with, she's going to have it out for you again.. you just wait!!
So one of my little duties is I cook everynight, a well balanced meal, so Michael can have it for lunch the next day. Since we both don't like to eat late and Michael doesn't get home from work till almost 7:30 or 8 o' clock, we don't really eat dinner, but I make sure he has a good lunch for the next day. Now I actually enjoy cooking and I love to experiment with new recipes I read about in Everyday with Rachael Ray or see on the Food Network. I actually have done pretty good most of the time and Michael hasn't complained once... except for what I like to call the disaster of the Pumpkin Penne Pasta. I got the Fall edition of Everyday with Rachael Ray and she had this recipe for a Penne Pasta in a Pumpkin Cream Sauce. It looked sooooooo good and I had try my hand at it. I went to the grocery store for the week to grab everything for Michael's lunches and had the ingredients included for the Penne with Pumpkin Cream sauce. One of the ingredients called for pure pumpkin puree, which I couldn't seem to find. I walked up and down every isle at Stater Bros. and alas no pure pumpkin puree. So I finally find something close in the baking isle, that is a can on pumpkin pie mix, so I figure that's got to be what the recipe was calling for right?? WRONG!!!! I went home and started chopping up my parsley and sauteing my onions and boiling my penne and excitedly working on my little fall creation dinner. So I mix together the pumpkin cream sauce, which included a can of pumpkin pie mix as opposed to pure pumpkin puree and go to take a taste.... good God almighty it was disgusting. It tasted like somebody dropped a pumpkin pie onto to some noodles and garnished it with parsley and onions. By far the worst thing I think I ever tasted. But... did I throw it away?? Nope... I packed it in Tupperware for Michael to have for lunch the next day! Hey... I am not an evil person.. in all fairness, he took a taste and said it tasted good and he would have it for lunch the next day, it was obvious he was just being nice. So the next day I get my usual text message from him after lunch but this time it was just complimenting me on my grilled asparagus I made for his side dish, apparently the next day wasn't took kind to my Penne with Pumpkin Cream Sauce. So... lesson of the day, NEVER substitute pure pumpkin puree for pumpkin pie mix.... the end result isn't quite the same.

2 whole weeks
Last I wrote, Michael was going to be moving in with me, and here we are.... we've made it two whole weeks living under the same roof and we have refrained from killing one another up to this point. I think maybe it's still "new" at this stage in the game, because I actually sometimes find myself forgetting that he's living with me now, as crazy as that sounds. I am so used to us really only seeing one another on the weekends, so during the weeknights, when he'd get off work, we'd talk on the phone about his day and my day and all that stuff, then he'd go home to his house and do his own thing and I'd be at my house doing my own thing... good night... talk to you in the morning. Well now.... he comes home to me, and I sometimes forget that, so when he gets off work we talk about our days and then he comes home to me.... and I realize that we pretty much covered everything that we needed to talk to one another about on the phone... "so..... ummm.... hi.... how's it going..... ummmm.... you hungry??? ok.... let's go to bed....." LOL... and the funny thing... I am not complaining about that. It's kind of nice just to kick it, and not say too much and just relax after a long day at work.
I've also got into the habit of cooking dinner at night to have for lunch the next day. (I know that sounds crazy... but I don't like to eat at night... at least anything really heavy.... so I make a dinner put it in tupperware and have it for lunch the next day) So every night I come home from work I create a nice little balanced meal to send Michael off with for lunch the next day... AND... he EVEN is kind enough to bring my tupperware back home and he even sends me a thank you text telling me how delicious lunch was. Now... he may just be *saying* lunch is good as to not hurt my feelings.... but either way... he's being polite enough to show his gratitude. He's even back to *attempting* to make the bed every morning... some mornings it doesn't quite get made... but most of the time it is... so I think that shows a good effort on his part. Like I said before... I think the "newness" is still there and we're both being polite but I anticipate it won't be long before I am on here complaining about his dirty socks or how I have no tupperware left because he leaves it all at work... or better yet... he starts complaining that I don't make him stuff for lunch anymore or I am wrinkling his shirts again... LOL... I guess it works both ways. We'll see how long the "bliss" lasts.... LMAO... Any bets on how long that'll take???
